AL 'S FORMULA : This is a multi-nutrient formula geared to males over 40

ANTI-OXIDANT : This is a broad spectrum anti-oxidant. Cellular tissue damage is common in states of chronically ill health and much of this is due to oxidative stress known as free radical pathology. Anti-oxidants are the body's protection against oxidative stress - a common problem in our urban/suburban, chemicalized, high stress society.

AR-ENCAP : A very effective formula for the arthritic patient. A very effective formula for the arthritic patient. AR-Encap combines the proven joint support of glucosamine sulfate with the sulfur-containing compound MSM, and Boswellia serrata (known to inhibit pro-inflammatory products). Devil’s claw and turmeric extracts block inflammation. This supplement could be used as a natural alternative to Vioxx.  

BASIC B COMPLEX : A balanced B mixture

CALCIUM CITRATE : A very absorbable form of calcium, useful in musculoskeletal cases, for insomnia, for people who hold in their emotions, and in treating hypertension. Other signs of deficiency include agitation, depression, eczema, hyperactivity, palpitations, periodontal disease.

CALCIUM-MAGNESIUM CITRAMATE: This is a very absorbable form that is perfect for the patient with osteoporosis.

CHROMIUM PICOLINATE: An essential trace element. It increases glucose tolerance in diabetics and hypoglycemics, and reduces serum cholesterol

CITRICIDIN: Citricidin has antifungal, antibacterial, and antiparasite properties.

COPPER PICOLINATE:

CYSTEPLUS: Extremely useful in cases of chemical and heavy metal sensitivity and toxicity. It can also act as an anti-oxidant and an antiviral.

ENTEROCAP: Enterocap is a concentrated source of berberine as well as some grapefruit seed extract (Citricidin). Both berberine and citricidin have strong antibacterial, antifungal, and antiparasitic properties.

FOLACAL: This is the active form of folic acid. It is very valuable in correcting anemias, prevention of neural tube defects in pregnancy, and is required for blood cell synthesis, nerve function, cardiovascular health, and gingival (gum) health.

FORMULA SF722: The main ingredient, undecylenic acid, is a fatty acid with anti-fungal activity. Formula SF722 also aids in the establishment of a healthy gut flora.

GLUCOSAMINE & CHONDROITIN: This is a very popular and effective joint-protective supplement. Because Thorne's combination is free of stearic acid (which almost all other brands are not) it should have superior absorption and assimilation.

L-GLUTAMINE : This is the most abundant amino acid in the body. During times of infection, surgery, and injury, as well as use of NSAIDs, there is a greatly increased demand for L-Glutamine. Adequate glutamine levels can greatly facilitate intestinal healing.

G.T.-EX : This is a product containing decaffeinated green tea extract, a very strong antioxidant. Green tea appears to decrease the incidence of stroke and certain types of cancer. It also proves useful in treating chemical and metal toxicity as well as inflammatory problems. It also has antibacterial properties.

5-HYDROXYTRYPTOPHAN: This can be useful in cases of depression, sleep disorders, anxiety disorders, obesity, carbohydrate craving, headaches, fibromyalgia, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease.

IM-ENCAP: An extremely effective immune system product. IM-ENCAP is useful against acute colds, flu, etc., and chronic viral conditions.

IODINE-TYROSINE: Effective for those patients suffering from fatigue, allergies or immune disorders, addictions, etc.

IRON PICOLINATE :

ISATIS: Performs wonderfully as an antibacterial and antiviral. It is supposedly the most widely used antibiotic in China with broad spectrum antibacterial activity.

MAGNESIUM CITRATE: Magnesium Citrate is useful in treating chronic musculosketetal problems, spasms of smooth or skeletal muscles, hypertension, PMS, prostaglandin imbalances, anxiety, confusion, depression, hyperactivity, seizures, and tachycardia. It is also extremely effective in patients suffering from constipation.

MANGANESE PICOLINATE:

MEDICLEAR: This is Thorne's version of a non- dairy based meal replacement, hypo-allergenic diet formula, fasting drink, etc. As many of you know, I treat some extremely sensitive/allergv patients. MediClear appears to be well tolerated by many patients with food sensitivities and allergies. Just like Thorne's other products, the minerals are in highly available forms you don't see in similar products.

META FEM: This is a multi-nutrient formula for women over forty.

METHYLCOBALAMIN: An active form of B12.

NIASAFE-600 : A safer, non-flushing form of niacin. Niacin has been found to have cholesterol and triglyceride lowering effects and has been found to be effective in intermittent claudication and Raynaud’s Disease.

OMEGA PLUS: This provides Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids in a ratio designed to create a healthful balance of these essential fatty acids within the body. It is useful for a variety of conditions, including inflammatory problems, musculoskeletal cases, leukotriene excess, prostaglandin imbalances and general fatty acid deficiency.

PANTETHINE: The stable, active form of pantothenic acid. It converts easier to coenzyme A which is essential for energy metabolism. It has been shown to decrease serum triglycerides and cholesterol and increase HDL (“good”) cholesterol levels. It accelerates beta-oxidation of fatty acids and can reduce lipid deposition in arterial walls. It is also anti-arrhythmic. Deficiencies of pantothenic acid can lead to malaise, abdominal distress, burning cramps, leg cramps, heel tenderness, insomnia, fatigue.

PHYTOGEN: Phytogen is a combination of immune enhancing herbs with both antiviral and antibacterial properties.

PYRIDOXAL-5-PHOSPHATE : This is the activated form of Vitamin B6. P-5-P is helpful in patients with food sensitivities, prostaglandin imbalances, fluid retention, and recurrent musculoskeletal problems. It is required for the production of every hormone and neurotransmitter in the body. A majority of women on oral contraception or estrogen replacement therapy will show a need, as will patients on prednisone. It is useful in the treatment of PMS, carpal tunnel syndrome.  

RIBOFLAVIN-5-PHOSPHATE : This product is an activated form of B2.

SERENOA GELCAPS: This product contains an extract of saw palmetto. It has anti-androgen, anti-edema, and immune stimulating effects. The main therapeutic application is in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). BPH is characterized by increased urinary frequency, reduced force of urination, and night time awakening to urinate.

SUPER EPA: A rich source of Omega-3 fatty acids. Super EPA is useful for chronic inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, recurrent subluxations, high triglycerides, cardiovascular problems, psoriasis, auto-immune diseases, and lupus.

TOXIC RELIEF BOOSTER: It is also quite useful for anyone on a "cleansing" program involving saunas, exercise, etc. It helps metabolize fat stored toxins released into the bloodstream.

TRAUMOGEN: Designed to accelerate healing after physical trauma. Also a great product to begin 1 week prior to surgery and continue post surgery as long as needed.

ULTIMATE E: Vitamin E is a potent free radical scavenger. It can be helpful for arthritis, mal-absorption, intermittent claudication, fibrocystic breasts, gait disturbances, infertility and diminished proprioception

ULTRACHROME: This mineral is an essential trace element. It increases glucose tolerance in diabetics and hypoglycemics, and reduces serum cholesterol. Ultrachrome appears to have increased absorption but at the same time its insulin potentiating effect is 3x that of the other chromiums, including picolinate.

UNDECYN: Undecyn is a potent antifungal composed of: 1) undecylenic acid (active ingredient in SF722), converted to a salt form with bentonite added to absorb endotoxins; 2) grapefruit seed extract for its antifungal and antiparisite activity and 3) HCL for optimal pH effectiveness. 4) bentonite to absorb endotoxin and mycotoxins.

ZINC PICOLINATE: Zinc deficiencies have been associated with acne, alopecia, anorexia, apathy, brittle nails, delayed sexual maturity, depression, diarrhea, eczema, fatigue, hypercholesterolemia, impotence, infections, infertility, lethargy, impaired wound healing, food sensitivities, brain fog, etc.
